Special events
February 18, 2010
Instead of the regular meeting, the day will start with a breakfast at 8:30 - doors open at 8:00am. To be held at Arthurs in the Best Western. Then at 9:30, there will be a showing of the Movie Broadway Melody of 1940 featuring Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell in the Best Western ballroom. There will be coffee only between this and a short business section. For a taste of this movie, see this clip.
All Probus clubs are run by the members. A good way to organize the various activities is to form committees to look after them. [Click here for this year's committees]. A good committee realizes that not only do they have the job of doing whatever it is they were assigned to do, but they should also have fun while doing it. At right is a photo of most of the "Program" Committee at an "end-of year" get together.
New members especially can get the most out of Probus by joining a committee - the most new friends and the most fun!
