Because of the large amount of junk mail that is sent out, many Internet operators are instituting measures to limit unwanted mail. Because of this, it has become necessary that we do the same.

The first thing needed is to be 100% sure that any e-mail you get is because you asked for it. But because the list is large, it requires an automated system to do this. This system is shared with other users in Cobourg (see below).

E-mails will have information only about Cobourg & District Probus and this would include any meeting place revisions and announcements or reminders of key events.

When you get an e-mail, you will be given the opportunity to stop mail from that list in future and also to perhaps add mailings from the other groups.

You can let us know your e-mail address and whether you prefer plain text or normal (HTML) formatting. Note that confirmation e-mails use plain text but our information e-mails will be per your choice. Previously all e-mails were sent as HTML but you can now change your choice.
